smoothie #2
5 ice cubes (crushed), 1/4 cup POM, 1/2 mango, 2 lime wedges, 1 lady apple, 1 splenda, 1 fruit punch crystal lite bottle packet. so so so delicious. a little too much apple skin, though. and crushing the ice is a little hard, but hey it's delicious!

smoothie & sauce
i just made a delicious smoothie using my magic bullet blender (as seen on the 4am infomercials). it's sweet, a little sour...tangy really. i think i used too high a ration of yogurt to fruit. should have been more fruit or less yogurt. I call it "Put the Lime in the Pomegricot" I used one serving of fat free vanilla yogurt, 2 small apricots, a lime wedge (about 1/6 of the lime) and 1/3 cup of pomegranate juice from POM, and ice. it also would have been better i think with crushed ice, but the 3 small cubes worked. also, in the future i think i should puree the lime first so that it's not sitting in chunks at the bottom. but it's so good. haha.
the other night i made a sauce using the same blender. I used a 1/2 cup alfredo sauce, about 1/2 scallion, 2 oz of 97%fat free ham steak, and a pinch of Kraft classic melts cheese. blend, then heat in microwave steamer cup for about 30 seconds. it turned out a little chunky but it made for a nicer dish. it was delicious. i'd recommend it over pasta or over green beans.
